Now let me explain it simply, through activating this option you can make a personalized list having a few people among your instagram followers who will be able to see your posts except the rest whenever you want.

Step 3: Add Close Friends

If you have followed the previous steps correctly a new screen will appear. This screen will show a list suggested by the instagram app, but you can search for people whom you want to add and tap on the Add in blue box visible on the right side of the profile you want to add.

Do this for each follower you want to keep in your close friend list and who can reach your story when you keep it private from the rest of the followers.

Step 4: Creating a List

Now you are close enough. Once you are done with adding friends to the list you can complete the step by tapping on Create List.

Now you have a group of people to whom you can make your post visible while hiding from the others.

Guide To Creating Story By Adding Close Friends

Now suppose you have a post which you want to hide from some people and want to make visible to those whom you have already added to the Close Friend list. Come follow the simple steps.

Step 1: Create a Post

If you are continuing after the previous steps another new screen will appear having some picture bubbles. Tap on the Create Story in the blue box and you will get the option to choose media from your phone gallery.

If you have closed the app after creating the list don’t get panicked. As usual, first, connect your phone to the internet then open the instagram app and create a new post Tap on the plus icon and you will get the option to choose media from your gallery.

Step 2: The Green Signal before Posting

Now you have selected the media you wanted to post. You can see various editing options. In the lower-left corner, a green star icon is visible.

It is the switch to make your post visible to your close friends. If you want that tap on the icon and then post.

Step 3: Editing the List

Change is a constant thing that keeps happening. You also can have changes in your mind to alter your close friend list.

 To change the list you will have to navigate to your instagram profile and tap on the three black lines in the upper right corner of your screen. Tap on Close Friends and uncheck the circle visible right of the names of the person whom you desired not to keep in the list.

To add new people to the list simply search their name and tap on Add. Now your list is modified and you can again continue your posting on instagram.
