You cannot make money on Coub from views, because Coub has never run a partner program that pays per view and has never claimed to. There is no revenue share, no CPM and no payout threshold to grind toward. What does exist is a token layer inside a Telegram bot that rewards activity with a platform token called $COUB, and an audience you can point at somewhere that does pay you. Everything else people earn from Coub happens off Coub. That is the whole answer, and the rest of this explains how each route actually works and which one fits where your viewers live.

Coub has no pot of advertising money to divide up
A partner program needs a pot of money to divide, and on most platforms that pot is advertising. Coub deliberately emptied it. The community rules, published in March 2023, say the team wants Coub to be completely ad-free, and that this is why all banner ads were disabled on the website and in the app. The same rules ban brand integrations and promotion of goods or services on behalf of third parties, and ask users not to use links, watermarks or QR codes that read as advertising.
Read that twice, because it settles the question. A site with no ad inventory has no ad revenue, and a site that also bans sponsored content inside the videos has closed the second door as well. Coub’s terms of service describe the service as currently free of charge while reserving the right to charge fees later. Money is simply not moving from Coub toward creators, and no amount of posting changes that.
The one place Coub does hand out rewards, and it is not cash
Since 2022 Coub has run a token layer. It lives in a Telegram bot at t.me/coub, which describes itself as the video platform that pays you, and it hands out a token called $COUB for activity inside the app. Watching, uploading, completing task events and bringing in referrals all earn tokens. Coub has also announced that you can spend what you earn to boost your coubs inside the mini app, so the tokens loop back into visibility.
Now the serious part, and please read this bit slowly. Coub’s own terms of service state that $COUB is not an investment, security or currency of any kind, and that all projections, indications of $COUB quantities and descriptions related to $COUB are purely notional and for informational purposes only. That is the platform telling you, in its own legal document, that a token balance is not a promise of money. A reward becomes income only when somebody buys it from you at a price, and Coub is explicitly making no commitment about that price or about future utility.
Scale is worth a glance too. The official Coub bot on Telegram publicly shows under fourteen thousand monthly users. That is a real community and a very small one, and it is the honest context for anyone hoping a token balance turns into rent.
How to tell the real Coub from the accounts using its name
This is where people lose actual money, so no jokes here. Coub has pinned a warning on its official channel that fake COUB tokens are being distributed on the TON network, that these tokens are not affiliated with the platform in any way, and that users should only trust official announcements. Any account promising a claim window, a bonus multiplier or an exclusive airdrop is not Coub unless it is Coub.
Two habits keep you safe. Reach the bot only through links published on coub.com itself or through the official news channel at t.me/coubnews, which is the one linked from the site’s own community section. And never pay a fee, sign a transaction or connect a wallet in order to receive a reward, because genuine rewards do not require a payment first.
One more piece of context that nobody mentions. That official news channel has gone quiet. Across all of 2025 it posted a handful of times, the December 2025 update said the year was spent optimizing the platform with few visible changes, and the most recent post at the time of writing is a short birthday note from March 2026 marking fourteen years. Loud 2026 token urgency is therefore not coming from Coub.
What actually pays, once you stop waiting for the platform
You were expecting me to say post more and be patient and eventually the algorithm rewards you. It does not, and it never has. The creators earning real money from Coub treat it as a place where attention is cheap to win and then move that attention somewhere with a payment button attached.
Coub’s rules leave exactly one door open for this. Users may add links to their social media and website in their account settings. That is the sanctioned outbound route, and it means your profile is the funnel while the videos are the advertisement.
| Route | Who actually pays you | What it needs first | What it will not do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Donation and membership pages | Your viewers, directly | A profile link and a posting habit people recognize | Work without a payout method available in your country |
| Your own Telegram or Discord community | Members, sponsors or paid access | A reason for people to move, such as early or longer cuts | Grow itself from a single link with no call to move |
| Editing, animation and motion design work | Clients who saw the loops | Contact details and a small body of consistent work | Arrive while your best loops are other people’s footage |
| Licensing your own original footage | Stock libraries or brands | Material you actually shot or made | Apply to remixed clips from films or games |
| Cross-posting to platforms with payouts | The other platform’s program | Rights to everything in the clip | Save you if the source material is not yours |
The rights column is the one that quietly decides everything. Coub’s whole culture is built on remixing existing footage, and a loop of a film scene set to someone else’s song is wonderful on Coub and unsellable anywhere else. If earning matters to you, the switch to original material has to happen early, because a following built entirely on other people’s clips converts badly into work or licensing.
Where your audience lives decides which route can pay
Before you pick a donation service or a membership platform, open your own stats and look at where your viewers actually are. Then check two things about the service you have in mind. Can it pay out to someone in your country, and can someone in theirs actually send money into it? Plenty of creators build a beautiful funnel that their own audience cannot pay through, and they only discover it months later. Test it with one small payment from a friend before you promote it to anybody.
Growing the following that carries these routes is its own job, and a channel that already has Coub subscribers watching each new loop makes every off-platform ask land far better than a cold profile link.
Try this plan over the next month
- Decide what the money is meant to be. Pocket change from tokens and a freelance career are different projects with different work behind them.
- Fill in the social and website links in your account settings, since that is the only outbound route Coub permits.
- Publish something original among the remixes, even one loop a week, so there is material you can license or show a client.
- Pick one destination rather than five, and mention it in your profile consistently instead of chasing every new platform.
- Treat token rewards as a bonus with no guaranteed value, and verify every link through coub.com or the official news channel.
Coub is a genuinely good place to make things and a poor place to be paid for making them. Once you accept the second half of that sentence, the question stops being when the payouts start and becomes where you are sending the people who already love your loops. That question has answers.
