If your Threads posts disappeared from your profile but they are still listed in your insights, the most likely explanation is that nothing was deleted and your app is failing to draw your own profile. Insights are built from stored posts, so anything still reporting views is content the servers still hold. Confirm it in one minute by asking somebody who follows you to open your profile, or by loading your profile in a browser while logged out. If they can see the posts, your account is fine and the fault is sitting on your device. If nobody can see them, there are two other causes to rule out before you decide anything is lost.

Check a second surface before you change anything
Threads runs as a phone app and as a website, and the two do not always agree with each other. Rendering problems that show up on one and not the other are a known category of fault, and they get patched without any announcement reaching you. So a profile that looks empty in the app while the web version shows a full history is telling you something useful about where the problem lives.
Do it in this order. Open your profile in the app. Open it in a mobile browser. Open it on a desktop browser. Then log out and view it the way a stranger would. Write down which surfaces show the posts, because that pattern is the diagnosis. Missing everywhere including logged out means the content is genuinely not being served. Missing only in the app means the app is holding stale data. Missing only for you while your followers see a normal profile is the same fault wearing a different hat, and it is the most common version of the whole thing.
Fixing it when the problem is only your app
This is the point where you expect me to say clear the cache and reinstall. Half right, and the order matters more than the steps do.
Force close the app and reopen it first. If your profile is still empty, sign out of Threads and sign back in, which makes the app fetch your account data fresh instead of trusting what it already stored. Update the app after that, since Threads ships changes constantly and profile bugs get fixed quietly between releases. Reinstalling belongs at the end rather than the beginning, because it also clears anything sitting in your drafts, and drafts are one of the places your missing post might actually be.
One more check that solves this more often than any bug fix. If you have several accounts connected in the app, make sure you are looking at the one you posted from. Account switchers cause a surprising number of these panics, and there is no shame in it.
Account Status turns a guess into a fact
Worth being straightforward here. If Threads removed your posts because they broke a rule, that decision was recorded and you can read it rather than speculate about it. Account Status lives in your Threads settings and lists content that has been taken down, along with the policy it was measured against. Where a review is still available, that screen is where you ask for one.
Threads sits on top of your Instagram account and follows the same community guidelines, so check Account Status in both apps. People lose whole evenings chasing what they believe is a display bug when the answer was an enforcement decision they never opened. An empty Account Status on both sides is strong evidence that nothing was removed, and that is exactly the result you want before you start troubleshooting your phone.
Some Threads posts are supposed to disappear
Ghost posts are built to vanish, and plenty of people discover this by accident. A ghost post stays visible for twenty four hours, replies come to your inbox instead of appearing publicly underneath it, and once the day is over the post leaves your profile and moves to your archive. If you posted something in a hurry with that option switched on and went looking for it the following morning, the feature did exactly what it promised to do.
The archive is worth opening for its own sake. Posts you have archived stop showing publicly while remaining yours, and it is easy to archive something on a small screen without meaning to. Drafts are the other hiding place, and anything sitting in drafts was never published at all, so it will not appear anywhere else no matter how long you look.
Replies and hidden content are counted differently
Your profile keeps your posts and your replies in separate tabs. If the missing item was a reply to somebody else’s thread, it was never going to appear in your main tab, and half the reports of vanished content are solved by tapping across to Replies.
Hidden replies confuse things further. When a reply is hidden, the person who wrote it can still see it sitting there while everybody else cannot, which is how two people end up disagreeing about whether the same reply exists. Nothing has been deleted in that situation. It has been made invisible to one side of the conversation, and no amount of reinstalling will change what the other person sees.

When it really is gone
Time to be plain about the worst case. Threads gives you no restore button for a post you deleted yourself. If the post is absent from every surface, absent from your archive and your drafts, and Account Status is empty on both Threads and Instagram, treat the live copy as gone for good.
You can still get the words and the media back. Meta lets you download a copy of your information from the Accounts Centre, and Threads content is part of that export. The file takes a while to be prepared and it will not bring back the likes or the conversation that happened underneath, but the writing itself survives, which matters if the missing posts were months of work rather than a stray thought about lunch.
What not to do while you are waiting
Do not repost everything in a panic. Two reasons, and both bite. Uploading a run of old posts in one sitting looks like automated behaviour to a system that may already be paying attention to your account. And if the posts were only failing to render, they will reappear, at which point you are left cleaning up duplicates in public.
Give it a day. Check again from a different device or a browser you have never used for Threads. Look at your insights once more, because a post that is still counting views has not gone anywhere. Then decide. Nearly every profile that empties out like this fills back in on its own, and the people who lose real content are usually the ones who started deleting and reposting before they worked out what was actually happening.
